On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), we would like to present the idea of this Solar Powered Trike for all our physically disabled pals across the world.
The United Nations has been observing 3rd December as the ‘International Day of Persons with Disabilities’ since 1992. It estimates that there are around 1 Billion disabled people, worldwide. Since 1998, it has been celebrating this day with a different theme every year. While Sustainable Development: The Promise of Technology has been the theme last year, for 2015, it is Inclusion matters: access and empowerment for people of all abilities. Inclusion in the Society. Disabled people face many problems of inclusion in the society. Transportation, for them, is one of the big barriers of inclusion.
So, we have found an instructable to DIY solar-powered trike which is cheap, simple, easily maintainable, and on top of everything, it’s GREEN. Check the instructions at the Instructables.
