Here’s a little tricky experiment that you can do on your own at home. It’s very simple to do, all you have to have is a solar battery (you can buy that cheaply from a scrap store), a bottle, a toy with wheels you don’t need anymore, and a little bit of super glue.
It runs completely on solar power. Starting from this guy’s idea, I’ll try to improvise a method to recharge my remote controlled toy car from the sun (all big kids must have a RC toy handy, don’t they?)
So, watch the video and start teaching your kid little things. In time, they’ll become bigger and hopefully, if done on a larger scale, save our planet.
Enjoy!

The video does not seem to appear… What do i do?…. I need it urgently because i was doing a similar project and i am not stuck and this video seems to be able to solve it
Plz someone help
Bill, thanks for noticing. The piece was written almost 7 years ago, so the video was down. I fixed it with a Youtube version.
Thanks a lot
i like this. i am doing this for my 8th grade science project. -_- 😮 :} 🙂 ;p ~_~
Great ideas, very helpful. I have been really nervous about helping my daughter out with her science projects, this is not something I have been looking forward to at all. Thank you for this post.
Fill that bottle with water and you’ll see what is the problem with solar power: it’s not powerful enough. That’s why there’s not a single sun powered car to carry more than a person. It’s great for a science project but (unfortunately) it’s not applicable a real car.
Sir,
1:-Basically i search for how to make soalar panel in the kitchen
2:-How to convert sound energy to electrical energy
sir please send on my email is :[email protected]

Thnx!!!!!
that was asume that was the coolest bottle moving solar car ever but with no steering … LOL
I MADE THE CAR
Yo Yo Yo! hold the phone, this is cool alright but the only problem is that you cant turn that thing and it cant save the solar energy it just ate up and put it to waste. Now if you want a real car check out ma site in which you can know more about auto mobilos
I think you should buid a car (for adults)that runs completly like a wind0up toy,the only difference would be that you could control the wind-up key.
that was a waste of time and this is the same video that’s on ehow.com
how long does it work and is it a good energy sorce and does it need sun or can it be like a modal car and do the wires please tell me
I like it, but its only a start?!
Lets make one to were it can turn, then we have something?
All in all its great. just email me with ideas on how to stear it> thyanks and wating at [email protected]
