Daymak Photon is a new generation folding, solar powered, electric kick scooter that can play your favorite music and can charge your phone.
There are plenty of varieties to pick from when it comes to electric scooters– lighter, smaller, practical, sleeker, but most of them can do only the one job to take you from point A to point B, and that is it. However, if you are looking for something a bit more than that, then the number of options significantly drops.
Now, a new kid on the block has a lot more to offer than just a ride. Meet Daymak Photon solar powered scooter that comes with its own integrated sound system. Its polycrystalline solar cells, placed on top of the base, ensure that the battery is charging every time the scooter is in contact with natural light (even when it is cloudy). AM/FM radio, USB ports and wireless bluetooth connection for mp3 players, a cellphone holder and of course, speakers, keep you entertained throughout your whole journey. The USB ports also allow you to charge your cellphone while riding the solar scooter, while the folding option allows you to take it anywhere you want.
Some more details about the specifications. Daymak Photon scooter is 74.5 x 255 x 30 cm (29 x 100 x 12 “) in size, weighs 17kg (37.5 lbs), and can reach up to 15km/h (9.3mph). It has an 100W motor, 11.8″ x 7.1” solar panel with 6.4W output. In addition, there are two types of batteries to pick from- 24V 4.5ah SLA battery with 300 cycles and a range of about 10km (6.2 mi) and 24V 7.0ah Lithium-ion with 1000 cycles and a range of 15km (9.3mi). Charging time is approximately between 4-6 hours when plugged, and 17 hours under natural light.
Daymak Photon is currently storming through its Kickstarter campaign. If you are interested to get hold of one of these babies, make sure you visit the site in the remaining 5 days. There are plenty of ways to back the project, including becoming a distributor of the solar scooter, so do hurry up and check it all out.
